Distinquished names (DN)

Distinquished names (DN) are used in CSR (certificate sign requests), the data is entered in the subject field of a certificate. With certificate manager you can easily create a DN and use and reuse it when applying for CSR.

The fields that are requested for a DN are::

• name
• organization (O)
• organizational unit (OU)
• location (L)
• state (ST)
• country (C)

To use a DN for CSR requests, it must be active by selecting the status field.
